Consolidating "schools" for 2022-23 |

Heard that AHSHA is going to consolidate schools, and ensure that each "school" has 2-3 teams, instead of the structure in years past where teams have such a broad range of players on them. This is a good move. D3 players can play on D3 teams and get both development time and have some fun accomplishing things, and many of the D1 players stuck in D2 can play on D1 teams instead of D2, forcing them to compete more and leveling up D1 overall. Like that AHSHA can take inventory of its situation and work in a positive way to make things better for its customers.

What rumors/info has anyone heard about this upcoming tryout season? Any coaches moving organizations? Directors leaving?

Mission dads get control of your mommies. Horrible display of sportsmanship tonight in Gilbert with all the cussing and screaming at DY families. There were little kids around. The good news is you play your last game Tuesday while every other team has a chance to move on and no one has the listen to you anymore.

Big congratulations to the 15O and 16U Jr Coyotes teams on representing desert hockey and winning the Tier1 league championships.
Many of these boys are going elsewhere next year for the next step so it's nice to see them keeping their foot on the throttle and taking care of business. On to nationals!
