AAA reject club - bender mom - 05-09-2021

My little bender didn't make Caha.  Time to take his talents over to Chandler.

Take note of who the worst player is on the team. If the parents have money; the organization has probably received a generous donation in exchange for a roster spot. We can name names if anyone wants to deny it happens.

So name names... this is an anonymous board.

Congrats to all those parents whose hard work helped their kid make a team!  All of those endless nights emailing coaches their 12 year olds resume and shaky video clips, sucking up to team managers, arranging play dates with kids who were certain to be offered in order to create a pair bond. And lastly badmouthing any kid or family competing for the same position.  This relentless effort didn't go unnoticed.

Always a shame to see parents have such uninformed views and such petty thoughts when their little Gretzky doesn't make the team they want. Instead of a learning and growing opportunity for their kids, they turn it into negativity and teach their kids entitlement and they don't need to work to achieve their goals. Sad!

Sure that stuff does happen, but many coaches see through that stuff. Its not unique to just Arizona hockey, it's everywhere. It sucks but it's life.  The solution is simple: tell your kid to stand out more and maybe he'll make the team next year.

I'm curious whether any players on any of the Phoenix area AAA teams last year tried out for AAA/AA and didn't make it (that is, they dropped down to A).  Any stories?

Since we went from 3 to 1 AAA teams its highly likely. Their parents will just explain it as their kid "wanting to have fun again"
