AHSHA All Arizona Team announced
#1
I would suggest their methodology is flawed.  More D2 players than D1?  Multiple D3 players?

If Team Arizona looks significantly different than "All Arizona" - which it will - then AHSHA needs to relook at its methodology.

The list is here: http://ahsha.org/files/2021_2022_all_arizona_team.pdf

Way too many "All (whatever)" teams.
What's the point of having All Arizona, All Star, and All State?
Then we're going to have a tryout for Team Arizona?
And whatever happened to the Premier Program?

Seems like AHSHA is trying too hard. No need for all these "all" teams. Team Arizona is great. All star games? Ok, that's fun for the players. But all state teams? Is that really adding anything?

AHSHA has built a great product with great support (website with stats and results, videos, ticketed games) to fill in the huge Midget gap that the local associations seem unwilling to fill. They should be proud of that product and the success its seeing, with an increasing number of talented players choosing HS only routes, and without the ridiculous travel schedules of Tier hockey (aka fulfilling the egos of parents and coaches).

And good call on the Premier Program. Whatever happened to it? Died of lack of interest?
